"You get the ability to grow and substantially cashflow things."
Brian Kurz discusses how his viewpoint on organic production has changed in the past five years.
Honestly I'm a little bit skeptical to admit how much it has changed within the past five years. I've been farming for about 10 years now, and I had seen organic pieces around and wondered what was going on with it.
I've went from a complete misjudgement and lack of knowledge of it, to now not just seeing it as a production style for people to have a different type of food, but also seeing the economical side of it. I see how much it is going to bring to our generation and the people around it.
What I mean by that is it gives people my age - young farmers getting started - the ability to actually grow and substantially cash-flow things, as well as bring industry and product directly to - I would say one of the largest markets that is accepting organic is the United States.
Getting to be a part of that and helping things actually financially work and getting to do something I love everyday, that's been huge.
